As a first timer on this field I thought its just an easy thing and will not make my brain explode...My first week I have to adjust, my schedule 4am to 12nn and I had a hard time to wake up as early as 4am (sleepAdik) and that time I have other responsibilities to work out, I'm a Cashier/Manager at a videoke bar owned by my buddy, and right after my duty which ends at 12 noon, I have 4 hours to sleep at 5pm will go to videoke bar until 1am or 2am Hmmm...very hard to do 2 jobs 24 hours a day, well financially speaking, its good but my body and brain can't take it anymore so I have to give-up my cashier job and give enough time to concentrate being a virtual assistant.

And as time goes by the task are getting harder and harder, but i like to do things in the first time i just tell my self that it will be a new things to learn that will add to my skills. as for now well i have to be prepare anytime, cause every day is a new day for us VA's

My Escapades As A Virtual Assistant

Posted by epvirtualassistants on 2:23 AM in ,

By: Imee P.Fulgencio

The word virtual assistant (va) is new to me when I'm not yet involved here in this work. I got a lot of ? marks in my head but it all vanished as I started as a trainee to be virtual assistant.

It gives a lot of learning experiences to me through trainings, team activities and attend some online workshops. As time pass by, I found myself pretty enough creating and exploring new things.

Being a virtual assistants is not an easy job. Why? I have gone through all these stuff. First,
adjustment from my co teams (new acquaintances) 2nd, my time schedule (shifting), 3rd, I must be computer addict/savvy (whew, really i am?) 4th, how to cope up pressure for deadline tasks of our clients, and the last I must be open for all the newbies or flexible enough, ready to face new challenges, willing to learn and be consistent.

For now, I am glad and proud being a Virtual Assistant. Not because I am earning but, because I am enjoying my work. I love helping and be of service to busy people that can't organized even their personal emails. I meet new friends (worldwide) through online, updated with all the news and love to communicate by means of chat, plurk, facebook, etc.

To all VA's, I would like to say I am happy to be one!

The Folly of Worry

Posted by Ilyn Reyes on 9:48 AM in , , ,
Matthew 6:25 --- " Therefore I say to you , do not worry about your life."

As Christians, we have no need to worry. Yet it's one of those things we are all guilty of doing. We often become concerned over matters that should not trouble us. There are two things we should never to worry about. First, we must not be anxious about things we can't control. Turning them over to the Lord in prayer, we should leave them in His hands. Second, we should never worry about things we can control. We are to stop our worrying and start doing something about them.

There's a missionary gave this excellent advice: " Let us give up our words, our plans, ourselves, our lives, our loved ones, our influence, our all, right into God's hand; and then, when we have given all over to Him, there will be nothing left for us to be troubled about."

We should avoid worry, not because of the distress it brings to us but above all because it displeases the Lord. for the child of God, to worry is to doubt the heavenly Father --- and that's an insult to Him. He merits our confidence.

Placing our trust firmly in God and His promises will help us avoid the folly of worry.
The Bible gives a remedy.
By which we can be worry-free:
It's simply this: Trust God and pray,
Then watch the worries fade away.

"When we worry, we believe more in our problems than in God's promises."

God bless everyone

Christmas Spirit

Posted by Ilyn Reyes on 10:13 AM in , , , ,
Philippians 2:5 -- "Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus".

How would you define "the Christmas spirit"? Would it be a friendly smile between strangers, the sound of familiar carols, a tree with twinkling lights in sea of brightly wrapped packages, or just that good feeling you get this time of the year?

None of these elements capture the real meaning of the phrase. They represent feeling that maybe a response to the commercialism that distorts the real spirit of Christmas.

For me, CHRISTmas is a very joyous excitement if we only focused our attention on the event we celebrate, rather than on the celebration of the event. It is JESUS birth we are honoring and celebrating, and that always makes for a good Christmas. So, let celebrate Christmas not only on the month of December but let's celebrate it everyday. And let the Spirit of Christmas always be seen in all our living.

In Philippians 2, Paul described the God of heaven and earth as laying aside His divine glory and becoming our servant by dying on the cross for our sins. Then he urged us to duplicate that same mind of humble service . That's the true Christmas Spirit.

Have a blessed Christmas everyone!..
